SEO for my home page – Confused?
My provider have given me a list of 20 keywords that are most searched for relating to my product. They said include this in the meta tag on each of my pages. Im a little confused…I know I need to optimise my page for maybe 2-3 keyword or keyword phrases, but if I have 20 keywords, can I include the full 20 in my metatag on the home page, and then just use 2-3 out of this list to optimise my home page for?
Any then for the other pages on my website..pageA, b and C etc..Do I copy the same 20 keywords into the metatags, but then choose totally seperate keywords from that list in order to optimise the next particular page depending on what my page is actually about.

Hi John, thanks for your advice. I dont have a specialised SEO offering from them, its more of an advice following their analysis. Before going back and asking I thought I would see what advice I could get from here. I heard about the lack of keyword metatag use by the search engines as I have been researching heavily on SEO. Personally I would find it difficult to optimise any page for 20 keywords (words or phrases?) and I have spent the past 10 years working in SEO.
The meta tag that I suspect your provider is talking about is the keywords one – this is not used by the major engines and you do not need it (although I sometimes add half a dozen words into the tag if the client insists that they must have a keyword meta tag).
Each page should be optimised for different phrases so I would not copy the same list of phrases into each set of metas.
Why not go back to the provider asking what you should do, I am always happy to talk to my clients about SEO as should any decent specialist.

I would suggest you advertise / post your project on freelance sites and internet marketing forums. There are quite a few people offering such services so when seeing your post they will contact you and you will be able to choose the one that suits you best (price-wise etc.).
Most of these sites have feedback system so you will be able to check the applicant before giving him a project to do.

Is there an SEO type download program to diagram a plan for linked articles on a website?
I’d like a pre-planning program where I could kind of make a flowchart of articles and a linking strategy on the computer instead of handwriting everything. I’ve downloaded some flowchart programs but wasn’t real happy with them. They were too technical or not convenient text options. (The only one I had any decent result with was Dia.) I need minimal graphics but I do need some but would like more text and good copy/paste/move/grouping/ stuff in the program. (I know, in my dreams.) Anyhow, are there programs out there specifically for creating diagrams or flow charts of linked article content or even (better yet) the same but with regard to different websites? What should I be looking for or searching for? Thanks for any input. Free would be great….but if you know of pricey ones I can always look for free versions of something similar.
