Have you heard of these superb yet economical ways to get free website traffic? When you want to get your website off the ground, try out these four simple strategies that will get free traffic to your newly constructed website. No worries about cost, because their all free, hooray! So let’s cut some financial corners and look at the best four strategies.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is something that should really become second nature to anyone that has a website or blog and wants to get free website traffic. Google loves you guy, so make it easy to be loved. Give the search engine spiders what they want to see, and you will be seen. SEO can basically be divided into 2 parts:
The first type would be on site SEO. Web crawlers digging through the Internet for relevant search results are called SEO spiders or robots. Use your important keywords in all the right places including page name, all titles and in your content to get free website traffic through search engines. Include alt tags for your images as spiders cannot see your beautiful pictures all that well. A well fed spider can be a great friend to have.
The second side is called off site SEO. It has to do with how other websites link to you using anchor text links. These clickable texts are sometimes uncontrollable as you generally cannot tell another website how to link to you. If possible you want people to link to you using the keywords that complement your site. The authority and content relevancy of the site linking to is also quite important. All this will help to get free website traffic by upping your page rank and improving your search engine rankings.
Social Marketing: This could really get free website traffic in masses. Offer a helping hand, share some free content and resources. If you give people a reason to follow you, they will gladly oblige, and you’ll look like a good guy in the process, not just some slimy marketer.
What I can also strongly advise this: Don’t do what other people do; you want to stand out from the crowd. It’s never too early to start creating and promoting your own brand, so do it from day one. Stay active, this is true for your blog and your profile, consistency is very important, get into a habit of updating your blog and your Facebook or MySpace profile. People like to see development.
Forum marketing: I say there is not a major difference between social marketing and forum marketing. These guys are discussing exactly the stuff that you want to sell them. Just keep in mind not to push your product too much. Make yourself part of the community first. Suggest some ideas or share your thoughts about their subject and display some value with free stuff or news if they come to your site. You should get free website traffic by giving them a link to click on in your digital signature.
Article writing: I really like this one, and it works like a charm. Write high quality content articles and distribute it to the masses by submitting them to multiple article directories. You will get free website traffic from the backlinks in the article or in your resource box. Keep your articles highly targeted and get your audience to go to your site. Remember that your article will stay on the web, so do some keyword research, just like the SEO we discussed, and include it in your title and body text.
Go ahead and start to apply these four steps discussed when launching your website and see the difference in your bank account when you don’t have to pay to get free website traffic! We’ll talk more about certain things and discuss it in detail later. See you soon!

SEO: Article Directories Dead?
I would have liked to submitted my article to directories that relate to real estate. I first checked google for directories called 1. real estate articles and 2. real estate article directory. Most of the these article directories are terrible. So I them tried search for article directory or article directories. I submitted to the first 50 article directories listed with Google. Only 6 of the 50 have approved of my article. The others have not and just seem dead. I noticed many of the article directories show in their footer the year 2005, 2006 or 2007.
My question is: are article directories dead? Is there really 500-1000 article directories out there that are worth submitting to? If yes, does anyone have an updated list? I’ve tried Google, digitalpoint and other resources.
Check the Directory of Article Directories indicated below as my ‘source’…
Submit to any niche directories that have the same theme as the topic of your article because the search engines like inbound links to your own website, linked to in your article’s author’s resource box, from other website of the same genre.
Also submit to the miscellaneous, or multiple category article directory sites (in their most appropriate category for your article’s topic) that have a high Google PR indicated.
While not a fool proof indicator of its authority, Page Rank is a decent barometer for how often its spidered, at least by the Google bot, and a measure of how much human traffic it may get.
Hope that helps!
