Hi there,

To be honest, these internet marketing tools you are looking for will not be WordPress plugins. The best WordPress plugins for SEO are:

-Headspace 2 (it manages all your meta-data)
-Redirection (manages broken links and redirects ppl, so you never have a broken link)

As far as the rest…
1. Whois:

http://whois.domaintools.com/

2-3. Domain availability/suggestion:
There is a great sofware called Domain Samurai that gives you the BEST domain names that already have domain age, PageRank, and backlinks. Available free as part of the bigger Market Samurai tool:

http://theinternetmarketingtools.com/marketsamurai/

4. Keyword analysis tool:
Market Samurai is the best keyword search tool, but check out some other ones too here:

http://theinternetmarketingtools.com/keywordsearchtool

There are reviews on the top 3 keyword search tool.

5. SEO Tools:
Again, Market Samurai can check out your site for backlinks and other SEO factors…but if you want more tools, Commission Blueprint 2.0 includes many tools such as keyword research, ad optimizer, rank tracker (to track your SEO progress), article spinning, etc.

Check it out here:

http://theinternetmarketingtools.com/commissionblueprint2/

6. Not sure

7. Keyword suggestion:
Use Market Samurai, Keyword Blueprint, or IM Eye. The problem with suggestions from Google is that there are duplicate entries and false data (read more about that in this blogpost: http://theinternetmarketingtools.com/googleexternalkeywordtool/

Good luck!

On Page SEO Questions ?

I was told, and it didn’t seem possible, that search engines can tell if the content from one web site, has been copied into another. Like product descriptions from a manufactures site used in a suppliers site for content, and that would hurt the ranking of the suppliers site…even as I type it it sounds out of the realm of possibility.
Thanks,

I am interested in how you optimize a page for a term that people use for search when the term is not appropriate to use as a main heading for a page or as the text in links pointing to the page.

For example a website I optimize sells hiking tours in a particular region and people will search using terms such as (with the name of the region included):
*hiking tour
*hiking vacation (American market uses the term vacation)
*hiking holiday (British market uses the term holiday)
*Guided hiking tour
*Trekking tour
*Trekking vacation
*Guided walking tour
etc…

Now the company involved already has brochures selling their tours with agents all around the world so they do not want to change the name they give to the tours. Besides the tour names they have are nice sounding and quite appropriate (although would never get searched on unless a person had already heard of it) so I do not think changing the name of a tour to "The (Region name) hiking vacation", etc would be appropriate. Also having category pages called "Hiking Vacations" and then another category page called "Guided Hiking Tours" would start getting confusing to visitors when each category name essentially means the same thing.

Anyway if you could give me legimate techniques to work such search terms into the main headings for these types of pages and into the text of links pointing to them then that would be great.

How much do people charge to write SEO optimized web site content?

We own thousands of domain names and are developing sites and need great content. How much does it cost to hire a contract writer? Do they charge by the site, article, page or by the word? Where is the best place to find people with SEO writing experience? If anyone interested, please respond or contact us at: http://simplystatic.com/contactus.php

Even though you are in the business of promoting SEO optimized web site content, have you effectively set up your own SEO metatags, i.e., <title>, <description> and <keywords>? At best, you merely have placed your domain name as the singular entry for these three metatags. There is need to properly fill-in the initial SEO metatags in order to have your opening webpage [at least] be indexed and ranked [PR] on Google.

Here’s an article that may prove helpful in achieving high PR.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It’s ranked No. 1!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google’s publication guidelines.

Good luck!

Components of Best SEO Services

Search Engine Optimization services or SEO services have become an essential tool of internet marketing. All businesses engaged in e-commerce have to resort to SEO services to make their sites popular and attract business. Search Engine Optimization experts use various techniques and strategies to optimise the websites of their client so that they can appear on the Search Engine Result Pages (SERP) of the search engines with a good ranking.

SEO service s may not always guarantee a top rank, but they certainly ensure visibility and web presence of the site which naturally leads to popularity and desired traffic. There are various dimensions to SEO services. The techniques used by search engine optimization experts are different for every site that they service, because the essence and theme, the target audience, the site design and the product or service being offered by each site would be different. Hence, one strategy would not work for all.

But, the general methodology used is the same. The site’s tags, file names and other elements are modified to appeal to search engine spiders. Structural changes in the HTML are also carried out to meet the search engine’s parameters, SEO services also involves keyword research and incorporation of these into the website. Factors like internal and external linking are other areas that are worked upon.

According to search engine optimization experts, just redesigning and restructuring the site once does not bring the need for SEO services to an end. Continuous and regular monitoring of the site along with necessary modifications are an essential part of a good SEO service. Constantly updating the content and general structuring is a prerequisite to beating competition. Even keyword research has to be undertaken time and again to check their relevance and popularity in the current scenario.

SEO services must also be consultative in nature, providing optimization solutions to people utilising these services. It must keep the interests of the website owner/advertiser in mind and understand his needs while providing the services. Search engine optimization experts are of the view that providing SEO services is not a mechanical process, rather it is creative in nature and involves giving every website an individual character.

Google Chrome – Changing Face of SEO

The launch of Google’s new browser, Google Chrome, has signaled the start of a change to the search engine optimization (SEO) world. SEO is the process of organically increasing the search engine rankings of a website and, thus, increasing traffic. Since the Internet offers a staggering number of options, a carefully planned online marketing strategy lays the foundation for a successful e-business. Google remains the number one search engine, far outstripping its competitors. Consequently, most SEO firms need to optimize their clients’ sites for the Google rankings.

• Why is Google Chrome different?

Google Chrome is Google Inc.’s new offering, with hopes pinned to challenge the dominance of Internet Explorer. Along with its many features, the Google Chrome also packs the Omnibox – the URL box at the top of each tab. The Omnibox combines the functionalities of both URL box and search box, and blends every move made by Chrome surfer with its search engine. The added search feature is hotly debated by SEO experts across the web. This is due to the heavy influence that Google Suggest seems to have had on the Omnibox.

• How does Google Suggest affect Google Chrome?

Google Suggest is a search suggestive feature that aims at simplifying the users’ search experience by providing users with search suggestions. The Omnibox incorporates elements of the feature by providing a drop down menu that has been the source of much debate. This aspect of Google Chrome is believed to have a significant effect on SEO practices. When a query is typed in, the Omnibox provides two sets of color-coded information; in black are the related search queries and secondly, in green is the number one organic Google search result. Therefore, according to top SEO experts, this has a variety of implications for any SEO company.

• What SEO changes does Google Chrome signal?

With Google Suggest so intricately woven into the browsing fabric, the number one spot is now more valuable than ever. The advertising advantage of appearing before the SERP (search engine results page) is twofold. First, the top ranked site can capture visitors before they even see the SERP and secondly, chances are even higher of click throughs on the first link. Now every SEO company has to prepare itself for a potential phase out of domain name optimization if search based browsing is adopted by other browsers as well. Furthermore, prices of domain names should experience a downturn, but on the other hand, building brand awareness and encouraging numerous brand-related searches will certainly make your brand-relevant queries show up.

How do you hide ASP dynamic pages with HTML pages for SEO purposes?

I’m a professional Web Programmer who would like to know if there is a way to, on an IIS Windows 2000 server, make dynamic ASP pages, that typically use the .asp extension, appear to be processing from a .html extenstion (or an extension that is search engine friendly).

I read-up on this in the past and foolishly didn’t save the resources to my favorites, but I read that if you modify the 404 error page, you can make dynamic ASP pages "seem" like they are using the .html extension, essentially making the webbots think dynamic pages are static in order to get them listed on search engines and improve website ranking. Are there programs available that can do this?

In addition, I will be replacing an entire html website with a dynamic portal site that uses ASP. What is the easiest way to redirect searches for pages that have already been listed on search engines? Meta refreash maybe?

Please help, this project is due Friday.

>Meta refreash maybe?

No. Use a 301 redirect.
