7 Things To Look For When Hiring An SEO Firm
You know by now that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a technique used by website owners to drive “natural” traffic to their website. You also know that SEO is performed by publishing keyword-rich articles and by playing around with the html code. But do you know that SEO is not as easy as it sounds – it needs an experienced firm to perform SEO, and it needs some time and research to hire such a specialized firm?
But we’ve made the task simpler for you and here is a checklist you must use when it comes to hiring a SEO firm:
Is the firm reputable? The SEO firm you are employing must be on a sound footing and it must stand head-to-head with its peers in the industry. This is not to say that we have anything against small SEO outfits who are just starting out – go with them if you feel they have the credentials and the capacity to do your work, but at your own risk.
Does it have an established client base? If an SEO firm is good, clients will flock to it automatically. So, does your SEO firm have a list of esteemed clients, or is it into SEO for websites who should be confined into the web junkyard? Find that out and go with an SEO firm that has a solid client base.
Does it use black hat techniques? Black hat techniques stand for unethical ways of performing SEO. If an SEO firm has ever spammed, or lifted articles, or created web farms to generate traffic, or used any technology to fool the search engines, then stay away from such a firm. You can find out if a firm is into black hat techniques by looking at their client list and talking to the clients, specially the old clients.
Does it have the right employees? Your SEO firm should not just have technically qualified, experienced employees – it should staff them in adequate numbers too. There’s really no point of going to a well reputed SEO company that has 5 employees and a roster of 200 large clients.
Does it offer all the SEO services? A good, well-established SEO firm will offer all SEO services under one roof – sourcing and submitting articles, programming, directory submissions, blog posting, search engine submission, link building, etc. If your SEO firm offers only a part of such services, ditch it, because you can’t be running around to two or more companies trying to perform SEO on your one and only beloved site.
What about its employees’ skill sets? You can get the best articles published and the best of sites to link to your website, but that won’t do a lick unless your website’s design, layout, navigation is search-engine friendly. The employees at a good SEO firm must be experts in website design, programming, understanding how search engines function, link building, directory submission and web traffic analysis, and these guys must be working in-house – these skills must not be outsourced.
How does the SEO firm respond? Does the firm respond in quickly or do they return calls in a few days. If they take over 24 hours to return your call, don’t even consider them.
Once you have determined that an SEO firm fits your requirement, check to see if their costs will match your budgets and if they have a person on board whom you’ll be comfortable working with. And if everything seems okay, go for them.

Are Frames an Impediment to your Seo Campaign?
Frames are easier to eliminate than dynamic pages. Google assesses static pages much better than dynamic ones. Frames con fuse spiders, because each frame on a page behaves like a separate page in some ways.Google doesn’t penalize for dynamic generation, but the spider usually backs off from these portions of a site, for fear of generating huge numbers of pages.Google can’t index this page because it can’t read the words.In creating the overall page structure of your site, the question isn’t so much how long your pages should be,but how focused.
The Google spider responds well to the same site qualities that visitors value.When Google’s spider encounters an image on the page, it recognizes the filetype (.jpg or .gif in most cases), but it can’t see the image, interpret it, or recognize any text that might be part of the image. Ideally, these niched keywords are reflected in each page’s title, meta tags, and the text of incoming navigation links. It understands text. Another great rule of thumb: convey your information in text, not graphics.Each separate and topically focused page has its own name and location, so your navigation links act as incoming links to those pages, helping establish them in Google. The golden rule of optimization is this: do unto Google as your visitors would have you do unto them.
Frames are really not as hard as you think, once you get the basics down. The one thing you have to remember when using frames is that you will have to create several different pages just to have one page: this task will help your site to rank better in the search engines. Each frame is it’s own page and the main page is also it’s own page. Then you have the frame page that puts them all together into one page. The frame page is the page that people will come to. The main page and the frames will show up on the frame page as long as you tell them to.
As such, content design is closely associated with page design, which is likewise concerned with layout, the division of content, and the density of keywords per page.Page design is a broader consideration, including the overall look-and-feel of the page on which your content sits.Your content elements consist of the information on the page, all of which, ideally, is textual.Colors, tables, navigation menus, and links — these are all page design elements. It might be strange to think of “content design. Don’t create wild mixtures of incompatible foods.

Writing Articles That Webmasters Love – Powerful Strategies For Successful Article Marketing
You are familiar with the mantra of “Content and Links”. You are excited and are very enthusiastic about marketing your articles. So many thoughts are running through your mind. What to write about? How can I be sure that Webmasters will pick up my article? Questions, Questions and Questions.
Look no further. Here are a few proven tips that get you started on the right track.
What does a publisher look for, in your article?
First and foremost, think for a moment that you are a Webmaster, browsing through the article directories. Which are the articles that you are most likely to pick and publish on your site? My answer would be, a good, well-written article that enriches the content of my website, that addresses a unique topic that’s useful to my regular readers and I would love if it is written with SEO in view such that my website draws traffic from search engines. Webmasters are your customers and their wish is your command, so to say.
Fill the Need – Spot an Opportunity:
Matt Cutts, who is currently running a video series on his blog and writes occasionally, has written an entry exclusively about writing useful articles. His advice is to fill a need with your article. (Very powerful suggestion after all SEO is all about content). And anytime you look for information on the web and could not find it, that should be registered an opportunity, according to Matt. He gives his “Changing the default printer for Firefox on Linux?” blog entry as an example.
His advice is to look for small niches that have no relevant content yet on the web. The added advantage here is that, SEO is relatively easy. Look at the title of Matt’s changing printer article and that tells you what keywords to intelligently use in your article. (If you are a user who needs this changing printer stuff, what would be your search phrases? That’s the key to a good article with SEO that webmasters love.)
In essence, as some SEO expert summarized, hard to find answers are the best marketed articles. Think about it. Your articles should enrich the web in general by making things easily accessible. It does not hurt to re-iterate the Mantra: SEO is about Content and Links!!
Fresh View Point – Have something new to offer
If the topic of choice for your article is a popular one, a hot topic that every one is talking about, be sure to address the issue from a totally different viewpoint. It could perhaps be a little controversial. This after all is the key to success in media business and article marketing is in the same genre. Imagine threads on various forums getting dedicated just to discuss your controversial view.
Pay attention to your Titles – Keywords in Titles
It is an established fact that publishers use your articles mostly to get traffic from search engines. Title plays a key role in this. Pack your title with relevant but most commonly searched terms. Your title tells your reader why they should read your article. Think about it. Sprinkle relevant keywords in your article. But, take care not to over do it.
Know your customers
Keep track of the websites that are publishing your articles. Alerting them of your new articles might be a good option. Perhaps you can even go one step ahead and ask them for subjects that they would like you to write about.
In summary:
1. Your articles should enrich the content of your publishers. Look for small niches that are yet to be addressed. Every failed search is an opportunity to tap into. Start small with these niches and slowly expand into related areas. Establish yourself as an expert. Article Marketing is a powerful way to build credibility.
2. If yours is a hot topic, it does not hurt to take a fresh yet controversial stance.
3. Write the article keeping SEO in view. Pay attention to Titles.
4. Know and keep track of your publishers. Direct contact with them can give you new areas to write articles about.
Article marketing is viral and if your article is good enough, it can go a long way and surprise you, the author, in many ways.

Your already on page 3 for "web design wakefield". That ain’t bad. On-site SEO advice: Have a bit more text on the home page to boost the keyword density, and use titles on links and alt text for pics to do the same. Off-site SEO: start social bookmarking, networking, Twittering, blogging and using sites for putting up content with links like Hubpages and Squidoo, etc, etc. You can quickly get 40-50 incoming links that way.

I need someone to help with website and seo marketing!?
I have a website which is doing well but I think it could always do better. I have promoted it locally and using google adwords and have submitted it on various website etc but I need further help to build it up so it appears in search engines etc. I have recently had a lot of phone calls from flashy companies offering their services for £100 a month which is a lot and I dont fully trust them as they have a bad reputation once Ive googled the companies name. All I want is someone to help with keywords, search engines etc. The website is designed well and has a good layout so that isnt a problem but I just need help with all the technical bits as I have limited skills but understand some of the basics.
