<p>When a tactic works, one doesn&#8217;t run out and tell everybody! </p>
<p>So the only reason the so called &#8220;Gurus&#8221; were offering this valuable information for sale is because the concept was played out. </p>
<p>What works in promotion, may only work for a time, when EVERYBODY finds out, the results get downgraded.</p>
<p>When Google see&#8217;s massive traffic, it investigates, that&#8217;s its JOB, to deliver results for it&#8217;s customers. When Google spots a &#8220;loophole. Google rushes in to close that loophole. </p>
<p>One technique to gain advantage over your competing websites, is to &#8220;know thine enemy&#8221;, look at who ranks #1, #2 and #3 and see what they did to get that way.</p>
<p>So&#8230; I read a &#8216;white paper&#8217; put out by a much larger Search Engine Optimization firm I compete against. That white paper &#8220;poo pooed&#8221; techniques that appeared to boost page rank and higher rankings in Google, but only did so for a short time.</p>
<p>&#8230; I thought about this, because I use some of those tactics to gain a quick boost. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I came up with, this is an analogy:</p>
<p>The market is like the ocean, waves come in, waves go out. Google is also like that ocean, trends happen, then they fade&#8230; this is how it should be. SEO tactics come in vogue, then degrade in effectiveness&#8230;</p>
<p>Does that mean they didn&#8217;t do you any good? Of course they did you some good&#8230; they did if you got back links!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t run out and buy everything the Guru&#8217;s are pitching. </p>
<p>Don&#8217;t try to compete against the masters, in the master&#8217;s Do Jo. You&#8217;ll lose.</p>
<p>You cut your teeth in this market, the niche market of Internet Marketing? You deserve to sit on the bench, you earned the right to sit on the bench, You put the time in, made a sale or two, got a page to rank, and now what? </p>
<p>Go down to the little leagues and kick some butt. </p>
<p>If you spent some time attempting to market Internet Marketing products to other webmasters trying to do the same thing you are- you were in some pretty tough competitors. Look at it this way: You made it to the NFL, even though you&#8217;re only good enough to be a bench warmer, take those skills and go after someone that ISN&#8217;T in your weight group! </p>

<p>In my last <a href="http://www.objectwareinc.com/KeywordSelectionTechnique.aspx"> keyword building article</a> I wrote about how to select keywords that would generate the highest return with the least amount of work.  </p>
<p>I demonstrated how employing advanced search strings and recording Overture data can be used to <b>find keywords with very little competition and high search volumes.</b>  My conclusion was that by conducting keyword research in this manner, ranking for keywords becomes easier.</p>
<p>The next step in Keyword Building is learning how to organize a site around a keyword list for fast ranking and best results. The following is my strategy for doing so.</p>
<p><b>What You’ll Need</b>
<ul>
<li>A finalized list of keywords as well as their corresponding search volumes and number of competitors. </li>
<li>Excel, or some other spreadsheet program. </li>
<li>An understanding of the site’s industry, and which terms are semantically related. </li>
<li>Enough SEO knowledge to decide which words from your list are &#8220;low competition.&#8221; </li>
</ul>
<p><b>Low Competition Keywords</b></p>
<p>&#8220;Low competition&#8221; is a relative term.  To illustrate why, search the term &#8220;Marietta, Georgia real estate&#8221; in Google.  Here are the key numbers:
<ul>
<li>99 inachor and intitle competitors for the term</li>
<li>1,300 searches for the term each month</li>
<li>330.8 average backlinks for a top 10 result</li>
<li>4.2 average page rank of a top 10 result</li>
</ul>
<p>Now here are some seemingly perplexing numbers regarding the 9th result:
<ul>
<li>It has only 8 backlinks</li>
<li>It also has a PR of 0</li>
</ul>
<p>Meanwhile the 10th result has…
<ul>
<li>240 backlinks</li>
<li>PR of 3</li>
</ul>
<p>This raises the question of why the 10th result doesn’t rank higher than the 9th result, as well as why the 9th result is even on the first page.  The answer is two-fold:
<ul>
<li>The 9th result is a sub-page optimized singularly for that search term. </li>
<li>The 9th result’s domain has roughly 1.1 million more backlinks than any other site on the SERP and is a subdomain of Yahoo.com. </li>
</ul>
<p>For Yahoo, a term with 99 competitors and 1,300 searches every month is very &#8220;low competition.&#8221;  However, because it has optimized a page for the search term, and is well trusted by Google, it easily ranks.  </p>
<p>When organizing your keywords, picking out the &#8220;low competition&#8221; words is an integral part to driving traffic.  Devote a page to every word that will easily rank from your list, optimizing the title tag, h1 tag and keyword density.</p>
<p>Remember, just as you look to Yahoo, thinking, &#8220;I wish I could rank for a word like that without having to link-build&#8221; so too will a site smaller than yours say of your &#8220;low competition&#8221; keyword pages.  </p>
<p><b>High Competition Keywords</b></p>
<p>Keywords that will require a link-building strategy before ranking are considered &#8220;high competition.&#8221;  High competition keywords should be broken down into semantically similar groups.  Intuition is largely used to separate the keywords, but here are a few universal guidelines:
<ul>
<li>Keep the groups under <b>6 words </b>each.</li>
<li>Group phrases together with more than one word in common. </li>
<li>Check to see if two keywords return similar results in Google.  </li>
<li>No group should have only 1 keyword.  Maximize the efforts of your link building. </li>
</ul>
<p>Once the keywords have been semantically split, prepare an optimized title tag containing all of the keywords from that group.  Also choose one word from each group which is the most important to get ranking.  That term should be what is in the anchor text of your links when you begin a link building campaign.  </p>
<p>Overall, this strategy will save you hours of fiddling and tweaking.  Remember, SEO is no different than any other business process &#8211; it requires a plan.  Practice these tips and you will see success.</p>

(Relevance score is SEO efforts, Page Rank is Link building efforts for Google and Local Score is links from expert documents) As seen from the formula, SEO efforts only work on relevance score and vary your ranking 10% if you hired a SEO professional but this can increase 18% if your SEO is master level. I would like to talk about Yahoo and Live search engines’ secrets either but as mentioned they are my professional secrets for now, if you don&#8217;t know these, its impossible to get top results on Yahoo or Live.</p>

This marketing tool has been increased enormously in these years, even with expensive per click rates. Lets say few words about Google Adwords. Google has 2 different networks such as search network and content network. Content network is different spidering technology and matching the search query and web site content. If you have a web site with high quality and useful content, you may apply and get involved Google’s Adsense network to make money. Google will classify your content and display related ads when a search query is matched as you have probably seen Ads by Google on web.</p>
<p>If SEO and SEM are powerful marketing tools which is the best and effective on sales conversion rates? This is the fatal question, both have advantages changing to the case, then lets compare:</p>
<p>A)In SEM, your web site does not need a change in most cases. Google has features to promote your local business with accessing your business address or just selecting distribution area on Google Map. Another useful tool is matching options are enables you to select broad ,phrase,exacxt or negative matches while displaying your ads.When you prefer SEO, you can not prepare different target pages as they will be sub pages and will not get listed higher than your main page as above.</p>
<p>F) SEM limits you with your budget because your ads campaign will stop displaying when your daily, keywords or monthly budget is reached while SEO results longer even months after optimization work is done.</p>
<p>Finally who wins this match? Well, this depends on your expectation, budget and targets from your campaigns. As long years professional , I dont have a preference . Each business needs different campaigns, you may select to attract new clients in both tools while achieving your corporate targets.</p>
